Thanksgiving

The blurry part is Hunter. It's tough to get him to sit long enough to get on film...

...unless he is sitting with Papa

Everything in this picture is real...no tofu.

This guy would still rather eat mac and cheese

Next day...out to cut a christmas tree. Here Ian uses the "measurin' pole" to make sure it will fit in our living room. We don't want a repeat of our first tree from which he cut the lower branches off and then had to screw them back onto the trunk because it looked stupid.

Hunter liked this tree, but he got outvoted.

Papa starts cutting. Hunter cried when it fell down and cried "Papa fix it!" again and again.

Stockholm, WI

We did a fun excursion to Stockholm, Wisconsin with our good friends, the Hauans. We took a roundabout way to get there, got a little lost, but travelled to kick-ass country roads with great scenery. Once we made it to Stockholm, we had brunch at Gelly's Pub...eggs, potatoes, gravy, biscuits, french toast. Everything had bits of meat mixed in, which made it delicious. We went down to the river where there was a cool park. The playground equipment must have been 30 years old but in good shape...teeter-totters, spinning thing (see below). After burning off some brunch we refueled with pie. The double lemon was crazy good.

First day of School and a visit from JKB

Jane, Ian's PhD advisor from UMass, came to visit us for a few days this week. Hunter is usually pretty shy around new people, but within 30 seconds he was leading her around, showing her his toys, and doing a puzzle. She brought him this awesome shish kabob set (for kids). What a great visit. Now that she is gone, Hunter walks around looking for her, calling out "Jeen?".

First day of school! Who's more excited? No, we don't send him to school barefoot!

The fire was for ambiance...the weather was toasty

Sunset is a dangerous time...skeeters!

No giardia for Colin...look at him pump!

Lots going on right now, but little to show for it right now...moved into our new house a few weeks ago and have been busy unpacking, painting, and moving furniture around. At some point we will post some pics, but meanwhile, here are some random pics from Ian's phone over the past few weeks...
