what's this thing?

Odd...today I came across this strange green thing poking out of the ground. Perhaps others survived the winter as well.

We had a nice visit this weekend by the Hauan's who brought over some awesome burritos. Julia and Hunter were civilized but pretty much ignored each other. Here's Julia:

Hunter loves to climb on chairs and look out the window. Saturday was 50 degrees...a far cry from the 70+ temps in NE this weekend, but we haven't seen warmth like this since October. The kitties are looking forward to warmer weather when Hunter will spend more time outside. He loves to chase them around the house until they retreat to the basement.

SOLD!

After 0 days on the market, we sold our little dollhouse cottage. The house is great, but we realize that our family needs more than 1200 square feet and a galley kitchen. So we move again...this is a link to the virtual tour of the new place:

Hunter gets upset when he sees Ian put on his hat, coat, and shoes. Today he seemed particularly displeased when Ian went out to do some errands on his bike. He kept pointing to his own little coat and crying. Since it barely cracked the freezing mark today, we decided to take him out for a walk in the snow. He loved running down the sidewalk and throwing himself into the snowbanks. Check out the awesome nostril snot in the second picture. It was lots of fun until he fell on his face running down the neighbor's driveway...no experience with hills yet. Poor guy.
