no more pencils, no more books, no more....

...teachers dirty looks. Well, I wouldn't say I give dirty looks...perhaps the stink eye every now and then.

The last day of school was over a week ago already and I will definitely miss this group of second grade kiddos. Of the 8 classes I've had, they come in a close second to the group of fourth-graders I had my second year teaching. I'm glad to report that this year no fires were started, no furniture was thrown, and no cursing was done by anyone in my class (I say 'my class' because at my school anything is bound to happen, and it usually does).

Seattle and N'awlins

Ian has been racking up the frequent flyer miles recently with conference travel. He went to Seattle and drank heavily. That week got him primed for New Orleans where he drank even heavilier.

Southern comfort food? Looks like a giant fried spider.

The fire fountain at the famous Pat O'Brien's. Hurricanes are delicious.
