We did some good ol' hillbilly car-camping this weekend at Chester Woods. It's 10 minutes from our house so it's easy to jump in the car and drive home if it turned catastrophic. But that wasn't necessary since the weather was great, the bugs were not too bad, and Hunter seemed to enjoy sleeping in the tent. We had the good company of Eric, Jill, and their 4 month old baby girl Julia. These guys are never scared to do anything with a new baby. Hunter came away from the weekend with only 3 bug bites, lots of memories, and some important experience in preparation for upcoming BWCAW trips.

Looks like fun. We have been meaning to try this with the kids too. I keep thinking how much fun Doug would be in the tent! I love the picture of the 2 kids in the chairs! Miss you guys...it is time for brunch yet?
