Weekend in St. Paul

We spent the weekend in St. Paul for the Twin Cities Marathon. We splurged a bit on a nice hotel right near the finish line...there was not a cheap room to be had in the whole city that weekend, so we decided to make the best of it and stay in a fun, historic old hotel in St. Paul. Nana Webb joined us for a few weeks, and Colin surprised us by driving up from Iowa to coach Ian through his first marathon. He road his bike the whole way, shouting out mile splits and words or encouragement the whole time. It was awesome. The race was on Sunday, but we had a chance to wander around by the Mississippi River on Saturday to see how high the river got after all of that rain last week. You can see that the railing and light post were still underwater! Hunter had a nice romp on the grass.
